Alex Moskos (Aids Wolf, Thames) keeps pushing his own evolution with this twisted outing of solo guitar, synth & homemade drum pad manipulations. Fuzzy, angular, writhing guitar lines fill out the atmosphere, over languid contact mic drum beats, that assert their presence with a element of airiness. Synthesized bleeps & bloops drop & meander in space with dissonant guitar freak jazz riffage. Sounding like some bastard bluegrass, at a relaxed place & filtered through minimalism and some old Dinosaur Jr. records.
MAN MADE HILL (http://weirdcanada.com/tag/man-made-hill/)
one man electronic dance psych free baser Randy Gagne (Disguises, Toddler Body) gets out & gets down. Buzz, swirling synthisizers hum over thumping bass and chatter drum machine beats. Vocals heavy with distortion, glide over the tracks melting into them. Warped funk electro funk tendancies bounce underneath the synthesized and sampled zaps & burps. Distortion rolls over, as everything is bubbled down into a bastard groove stew that pulsates & squeaks like the digital mess of a thousand old computers dialling in their last connection. Surreal dance music for the modern hypochondriac.
FAMOUS WILDLIFE MOVIES
Mike Smith of Muskox fame gets deep in the synth minimal zone with his newest solo outing. Kraut/prog tendancies spill out through electronic manmipulations. Slow moving synthesis creates a trance state. Warbling hums & drones mutate into their true form. For fans of Terry Riley & Goblin.

BILL ORCUTT & CHRIS CORSANO (http://palilalia.com/)
Harry Pussy avant blues/noise shredder Orcutt and prolific free drummer Corsano (Bjork, Six Organs, etc) team up in this chaos driven ecstatic duo that sees Bill Orcutt back on electric guitar for the first time in many years. Corsano's control of the kit is impeccable, moving it like a a large vat of contact miced liquid rather than a grouping of static percussive instruments. Bill's guitar work angular and aggressive acts more like hard hitting percussion. He creates wells of notes rigid against each other, that fill the sonic landscapes. The true meaning of blues blown out in one foul swoop, as he revives his noise rock roots, with the strength of age & hindsight. A not to be missed rare performance by two of the avant garde's most innovative players.

Toronto cum Montreal super group reunites for a one night only blow out, featuring Soupcans guitarist Dave Evans, Pon De Replay-ist Brian Seeger and oroginal hectic jammers Jon Shapiro (Disguises, Thrashed Genes, etc) and Leslie Predy (Doom Tickler). Weirdo punk inspired noise rock with freaked out vocals, reminiscent of those night terrors you just can't escape. Fast & harsh rhythms pounding your brain between hectic spazz outs, comprised to tight angular guitar notes contorting for your pleasure. For fans or Arab On Radar and Black Flag. Don't miss the resurrection of one of Toronto's most visceral bands.

Toronto avant garde anti-legend Brian Ruryk is easily one of the cities best kept secrets, Ruryk has been manipulating the concepts of sound since the 80’s. Free jangled guitar notes spray over a live collage of junk percussion & chaos. Tape samples squeal out amongst herky jerky clatter or Ruryk’s eclectic set up. Much like the coming together of puzzle pieces in a way in which they do not fit & then experiencing the process in which the puzzle doer, instead of sorting the pieces, just cuts & mangles them to create a new image.
